Merhaba! Yıllardır onlarca hatta belki yüzlerce makyaj, güzellik,
moda ve akla hayale gelebilecek her alandaki blogları takip ettikten sonra
artık kendi blogumun sahibi olmam gerektiğine karar verdim. Bu blog çoğunlukla
makyaj ve güzellik üzerine olacak, ama blogumu bu şekilde sınırlandırmayı
düşünmüyorum, araya makyaj ve güzellikten tamamen alakasız birkaç post sıkıştıracağıma eminim.
Hey everyone! After years and years spent on following
makeup, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and many other types of blogs, I finally
decided to jump into the blogging bandwagon! My blog is mainly going to be on makeup and
beauty related stuff but I won’t be limiting myself to those areas by no means, I’m sure I
will be slipping some lifestyle, DIY and a variety of other posts here and
there.
Makyaj ve güzellik üzerine yoğunlaşırsam blogumun daha fazla
makyaj malzemesi almak için mantıklı bir sebep olabileceğini düşündüm (her
zaman yeni bir bahane bulunabilir), çünkü artık evdeki çekmecelerim makyaj malzemeleriyle
dolup taşıyor ve daha fazlasını satın almak için mantıklı bir gerekçe bulamıyorum! Ama sonuçta
bu bir ihtiyaç meselesi değil, istek meselesi, o yüzden almaya devam. :)
Main reason that led me to write mostly about makeup and
beauty is that blogging will be my new excuse for buying more makeup products! (If
you look for an excuse, you can always find it, right?) Well, my drawers are
filled with an amount of makeup products that can serve an entire nation (no
joke), so I had to find myself a reason to buy even more, because you know that
feeling, even though you don’t need it, you WANT it.
Kısaca blogumun adının nereden geldiğinden de bahsetmek
istiyorum. Bloga bir isim bulmak blog yazmanın en zor kısmı olsa gerek! Aylarca
süren beyin fırtınasından sonra bir anda karşıma Stila’nın Set and Illuminate
adında bir pudrası çıktı, adı çok hoşuma gitti ve bana nedense “Ready, Set, Go”
sözünü hatırlattı, bu söz yarışların başında “Hazırlan ve başla” anlamında
kullanılıyor. Nedense Ready, Set and Illuminate bana bir makyajın adımları gibi
geldi, Ready: Hazırlan, Set: Makyajını Sabitle, Illuminate: Aydınlatıcını sür,
ve hazırsın! Telaffuzu da çok hoşuma gitti ve sonunda aylar süren isim arayışım
bir pudra sayesinde sona erdi. :) Uzun lafın kısası, teşekkürler Stila!
Let's talk about the story behind the name of
my blog. Finding a name must be the hardest task a blogger has ever came across! After months
spent brain storming with friends, one day I saw a powder by the brand Stila,
called Set and Illuminate. I really liked the name and somehow it made me think about
the phrase “Ready, Set, Go!”, which is used at the beginning of races. I wanted
to change it up a bit and came up with the name Ready, Set, Illuminate; which
basically means “Get Ready, Set Your Makeup and Put your Illuminator on!” I also
really liked how it sounds, so months of search was finally over. Long story short, thank you Stila!
Blogum hem Türkçe, hem İngilizce olacak, bunun özel bir
sebebi yok, sadece daha fazla insana ulaşmak istememden kaynaklanıyor. Elimden
geldiğince sık post yayınlamaya çalışacağım, şimdilik okul
açılmadığından tuzum kuru, ama bir süre her gün yazmayı düşünüyorum. Bir
hevesle açtığım blogum umarım uzun yıllar boyunca sevdiğim, merak ettiğim,
istediğim her şeyi paylaştığım bir yer olarak kalır. Umarım blogumu

This blog will be both in Turkish and English, just because
I want to reach a larger crowd. I’ll try to post as often as I can, right now
my school hasn’t started so it’s easy to say so, but fingers crossed, I’ll be
writing a post every single day for a while! I hope this blog will keep being a
place where I share everything I love, wonder, and want for many years ahead! I
