Essence Love Letters Koleksiyonundan Seçtiklerim / My Picks From the Essence Love Letters Collection

Merhaba! Bildiğiniz üzere bugün Sevgililer Günü, bugünün yazısı da bu temaya uygun olsun istedim. Essence'in Sevgililer Günü'ne özel çıkardığı Love Letters koleksiyonunu geçtiğimiz günlerde Gratis'te gördüm, henüz yeni gelmişti ve tüm ürünler vardı. Koleksiyon ürünleri arasında gözüme en çok çarpan iki kajal göz kalemini ve aydınlatıcı pudrayı sepetime attım.

Hey everyone! As you all know, today is the Valentine's Day, and I wanted to keep up with the "love" theme for today's post. Essence recently launched a Valentine's Day special collection called Love Letters, and I couldn't resist picking up the two kajal pencils and the highlighter powder from this lovely collection.

Kajallarla başlayalım. Essence kajalları ne kadar sevdiğimden daha önce defalarca kez bahsettim, hatta bir tanesinin yazısını da yazmıştım (buraya tıklayarak bakabilirsiniz). Bu kalemler de aynı onun gibi yumuşacıklar, kolayca uygulanıyorlar, pigmentliler ve ben çıkarana kadar gözümde kalıyorlar. Aynı zamanda sürdükten sonra dağıtmak için bir sünger bulunduruyorlar, sünger çok sert değil ve diğer bazı süngerler gibi kalemi dağıtmak yerine tamamen silmiyorlar. Let's start with the kajals. I said it before, I love Essence kajal pens. I've written about one called Teddy, you can go to that post by clicking here. These as really soft and creamy like that one, easy to apply, pigmented and stay on for hours without any fading. They also have a blending sponge, which isn't so stiff like some other sponges I tried that erased the whole eyeliner rather than blending it. 

Koyu lacivert tonlardaki göz kalemlerimin sayısını çoktan unuttum, bu tonları gerçekten çok seviyorum, bence siyah göz kalemini sert bulanlara (benim gibi) oldukça güzel bir alternatif oluyorlar. Her ne kadar buna benzer çok sayıda kalemim olsa da, Inkheart adlı bu koyu lacivert kalemi çok sevdim.

I have a problem when it comes to dark navy eyeliners, I probably own around 15. The reason is that they are a good alternative for black eyeliner, there are some people out there (e.g: me) who think that black liners look a bit harsh and these type of colors look a little softer. That's why I wanted to get this dark navy liner called Inkheart, although I own so many of these shades, I never get enough of them. 

Inkheart adlı bu kalem siyaha yakın, koyu bir lacivert. Işıkta hafifçe mavi yansımalar oluşturuyor. Uzaktan bakıldığında siyah gibi dursa da bence çok güzel bir renk.

Inkheart is a dark navy, so dark that it looks like black unless you give it a closer look. But when the light hits it, you see a beautiful blue reflection. It's such a beautiful shade.

Grey Headed Lovebird ise tam bir taupe rengi. Bu tonlarda kalemim hiç yoktu ve sahip olduğum farların yarısının bu renk olduğu düşünülürse bu kalemi gördüğüm an sepete atmam kaçınılmazdı.

Considering that half of the eyeshadows I own are various shades and formulas of taupe, it wouldn't make sense if I didn't picked this gorgeous taupe eyeliner called Grey Headed Lovebird.

Kahverengi-gri arası bir tona ve metalik ışıltılara sahip olan bu kaleme tek kelimeyle bayıldım. Özellikle bronz-kahve tonlardaki makyajlarda alt kirpik diplerine uygulandığında mükemmel duracağını düşünüyorum.

This gorgeous shade is a mix of brown and grey with a beautiful metallic sheen. It would look absolutely perfect on the lower lash line, when you have a bronze-taupe look going on.

Koleksiyondan aldığım üçüncü ürün ise muhtemelen koleksiyonun en hızlı tükenen ürünü olacak olan Love Poem adlı aydınlatıcı pudra. 

My third pick from the collection is the Love Poem highlighter powder. I can see this becoming the fastest selling item from the collection. People will buy it regardless of its quality, it just looks beautiful. 

Şu güzelliğe bakar mısınız? "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things... Love never fails." yani "Aşk her şeye katlanır, her şeye inanır, her şeyi umut eder ve her şeye dayanır... Aşk asla başarısız olmaz." Bir biz bulamadık böyle bir aşk zaten, neyse, konumuz bu değil. Keşke bu baskı bir iki kullanım sonra bozulmasaydı ama maalesef bozuluyor, keşke bir tane daha alsaydım hiç kullanmadan böyle dursaydı diye bile düşündüm.

Can we take a moment to look at its beauty? I love the embossed letters on it. "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things... Love never fails." Such gorgeous words. It would have made more sense if I had a valentine to say those words to, but whatever, that's not our topic here. Let's forget that. I wish these letters wouldn't fade away so quickly, but once you start using the powder, they disappear.  

Gördüğünüz gibi çok çok açık, neredeyse ten rengine yakın, pembe tonlu bir pudra. Yukarıda gördüğünüz gibi yoğunca uygulandığında toz pembe gibi dursa da yüze uygulandığında renksiz duruyor. Neredeyse renksiz görüntüsü sizi yanıltmasın, tüm yüzünüze uygulamak için uygun bir ürün değil. Çünkü uygulandığımda yüzümde sadece yoğun sim olarak kaldı. Yumuşak, kolay tozutmayan bir pudra olmasına rağmen yüzümde sim istemediğim için bu pudrayı almasam da olurmuş. Fiyatı 12,75 TL olmalı, fişi attığım için kesin bir şey söyleyemiyorum ama böyle hatırlıyorum.

As you can see this is a really light, almost skin-color, pick toned powder. Although it looks a bit pinky above, it goes on transparent when applied. Don't think that it can be used all over the face as it goes transparent, because once you apply it, all you have on your face is little pieces of glitter. I really don't like the glittery look on my face, if you do, you can give this a shot. But I could totally skip it, it's my least favourite item from the collection, I will just put it in my drawer and look at its beautiful design once in a while.

Koleksiyonda bunların dışında bir far paleti, iki kalem ruj, üç oje, bir tırnak damga seti, bir kağıt pudra ve bir de defter vardı. There is an eyeshadow palette, two jumbo lip pencils, three nail polishes, a stamp set, a sheet powder and a notebook. In my opinion, you should give the kajal pens a go, they are the best items from the collection. The nail polishes also looked nice and I love the formula of Essence nail polishes, I will check them out. See you soon!
